For the sacrifice you made
Doing a job most of us wouldn't do
To those who have served
We salute you
For putting your life in danger
For going to distant lands
Not knowing what you'll encounter
From the Revolution to the current war
You have gone into battle
Prepared to lay down your life
Not knowing if you'll return home
On Veterans Day
We take the time to say thank you
We shouldn't just be telling you this one day a year
We should constantly make an effort
To show you gratitude
For doing what you do
Being the best of us all
like!!
